Bylaws and Policies

The Riverside Local School District Board of Education is composed of five members. Each of the five members is elected to a four-year term. The job of the Board of Education is to represent the community in determining and demanding appropriate organizational performance within the school district.

The Riverside Local School District Board of Education if made up of five members:

-Janet Siders - President

-Mark Zumberger - Vice President

-Joel Snow

-Blaine Dixon

-Duane Heath

Board Meetings

Regular Board meetings for the calendar year 2024 are held the third Tuesday of every month in the school library located at 2096 County Road 24 South, DeGraff, Ohio 43318 at 5:30 pm.

On occasion, it may be necessary to schedule a board meeting at a time and/or location other than the usual time and location. Under Ohio law, the Board of Education may hold executive sessions to discuss personnel matters, property purchases, court action, confidential matters as designated by federal or state statute and details of security arrangements. These sessions are used for discussion only; any official board action must take place in a public session.

Citizens are encouraged to contact any Board of Education member or administrative office with questions, comments or concerns regarding school district issues.

Upon request of the parent/guardian, the District will provide information about each teacher assigned to provide instruction to their student(s) in a timely manner. The information will include whether the teacher has satisfied all requirements for certification/licensure or whether the teacher provides instruction under a waiver.
